I woke up this morning and the sky was at least partially blue..... wow! It's a great day. The sun is shining and the fluffy white clouds are floating by. There's a soft breeze in the air. The birds are singing and Doug and I had breakfast at the outside table this morning enjoying this wonder that God has given us.
The little chicks and ducks were in fine shape this morning. It's always nice to clean them up in the morning... makes me feel like I'm making them all comfortable for the day... kinda like it was when my girls were little, getting them up and all clean for the day. I loved that part of mothering... then they grew up... too fast!
You can see from the picture of the chicks that the meat birds are quite a bit bigger than the
hens. They also eat about twice as much. Usually the hens have to
and eat. Then the ducks and their water. The last couple of days they've been emptying the waterer and then tipping it over. It will be good when they are in larger accomodations too.
The garden is growing well. I took some pictures this morning before work...
Everything is growing well, including the weeds. We haven't weeded the strawberries because the are producing right now and it has been so wet, but we want to move them before next year so we can plant veggies in the remainder of the top of the garden. The brocolli have little florets on top and the jacob cattle beans are flourishing. That's Mr. Doug standing behind the bean bed. To the left is the beets and to the right are the beans. Peas are up about 2 feet and we hope to be picking chard soon. If you click on the strawberry patch picture you should be able to see red... we hadn't picked yesterday and everyday this past week we've taken a pint basket out of there. Hopefully next year we'll have more in their new location. They sure are yummy!!
Hope you have a wonderful day in the Lord!!!
Psalm 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Your garden looks great... and yummy, fresh strawberries!
Best of all is the scripture verse from Psalms, at the end of your post. It's one of my favorites!
God bless,
Mrs.T
