Here's some more pictures of my little pleasant spots the Lord has given me to enjoy. The columbine are planted near the peonies at the rock along our driveway. The lupine are coming up from some wildflower seeds I sowed along the hillside. Even though the soil is poor and stony, they seem to like it there. I have 9 plants growing there and all are doing quite well. The other picture is of the frog pond. I'm not sure if you can see it or not, but there is a black cloud of tadpoles in there. We may be harvesting frog legs for dinner some day (nope, only joking). I was hoping peepers would settle into that pond, but we have green grass frogs. It's OK with me. They cut down on the mosquito population and will eat the bad insects... hopefully.
Menus????
Oh I guess this is the day isn't it.
Due to budget constrictions we weren't able to do grocery shopping this week. I did purchase a few items, butter, eggs and yogurt.
I thawed a large piece of pork and made split pea soup for Sunday, so tonight we'll have left-overs.
Monday: leftovers, beans, peasoup and fresh bread.
Tuesday: pork kabobs with mushrooms and onion. Roasted corn.
Wednesday: soup and biscuits
Thursday: Baked chicken, tomato pie, yogurt and applesauce
Friday: Sandwiches... we'll be working with the kids, Lord willing.
Saturday: Hope to have some fresh corn and we'll make some pork burgers to cook on the grill.
Sunday: I am hoping to have some good stuff to make for the dinner at church. I'll be shopping at Market Basket on Saturday and I know they have beef on sale this week, so we may have something with beef in it... not sure what just yet.
Have a happy week with the Lord!!!

Wow, great job with the blog! Loved these pictures of some of the little things God has given you to enjoy! I noticed the tadpoles right away. I love lupines and columbines. Very pretty!

Love the little bright spots in our day! Little "spirit lifters" (as I call them) are such a gift from the Lord!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the encouragement Mrs. T.
This blogging thing takes up the slow moments of the day. I just keep the window open and when I think of something or have a second I add another comment.

God Bless ya!
