Doesn't that soil look lush? We added 5 truck loads of amenities to this soil to get it in shape for the garden this year. Last year was such a bust. We're praying this year will be different.
The green that you do see are perennial fruit/strawberries and rhubarb. Nothing much is growing yet, but we just had a frost Sunday night, so need to still be careful about putting our sets out that we started in the green house. There are peas, beans, and chard that are up and doing well.
Mr. Doug has planted lots of stuff since these pictures were taken actually. Yesterday he put in the squash plants and last Wednesday he put in all the little beets that we had started in the greenhouse. We raise winter keepers and lots of winter squash since those are not things we can buy inexpensively in the grocery and very rarely get from the compost boxes.
